    Faraz knows best how to play with words. He is undoubtedly one of the greatest Urdu poets of all time. What is available on the internet about his ghazals and poems is just an indication of how great a poet he is, but they do not do justice to the poet. Faraz has written about 13 poetry books. He is recipient of Hilal-e-Imtiaz , an honor he returned after 2 years in 2006, as he was disillusioned with the then military regime. He lived and died with a fiery pen that advocated his revolutionary thoughts as well as devotion - mostly one sided - for his love.
    A decade after his death, his words still reverberate and fascinate us all.
